Your visit begins at the farm and winds its way through working fields, heritage animals, and ultimately into a sunflower patch that has to be seen to be believed. Every hour a new group sets off — so there's room to breathe, wander, and soak it all in.
Park at the farm and hop on the hay wagon. It's a scenic 5–7 minute ride through the working farm to the sunflower patch — the perfect way to arrive.
Along the way you'll have the chance to meet and feed our happy pigs, see our heritage cattle and chickens, and stroll through our market gardens.
The highlight of the visit — a golden sea of blossoms in full bloom. Wander, photograph, pause, and soak in the beauty of the season at your own pace.
Before you leave, hand-pick your very own sunflower. A cheerful reminder of your time on the farm — included with every ticket.
Many guests walk back through the farm at their own pace. The Foxfire farm stand will be open — pick up heritage eggs, fresh vegetables, and seasonal goods on your way out.
All tickets are purchased in advance through SimpleTix. Prices include all service fees and HST — what you see is what you pay. Tickets are sold in timed 2-hour slots, staggered every hour.

The sunflower experience is a natural, seasonal event — we do our best to plan ahead but Mother Nature has the final say. Sign up for email updates or follow us on social media to stay informed. A few things to help you make the most of your visit to the sunflower patch.
We're located in Powassan, Ontario, about 20 minutes south of North Bay. Free parking is available on site. The hay wagon departs from the parking area — arrive a few minutes early for your entry time.
This is a working farm. Closed-toe shoes are strongly recommended — no sandals or open-toe footwear in the farm area. Dress for the weather and bring layers for Friday evening visits.
The sunflower patch is an incredible spot for photos. Bring your camera — the golden afternoon and evening light is spectacular. We have a fun photo frame prop in the field too.
To protect our heritage livestock, no pets are permitted on the property during the sunflower experience. We appreciate your understanding.
Entry slots are staggered every hour so there's breathing room in the patch. Your 2-hour window begins at your selected entry time. Wagon rides run on the hour from the parking area.
Foxfire is a working heritage farm year-round. During your visit you may encounter farm smells, mud, and the general wonderful chaos of farm life. Kids absolutely love it.
Our self-serve roadside farm stand is open during sunflower season. Pick up fresh heritage eggs, seasonal vegetables, cut flowers, and other farm goods on your way out. Cash and Email Money Transfer (EMT) accepted. We do not accept credit or debit cards.
