Yurt Building Workshop


Our 2 day group workshop is an inspiring experience. Working hands on with master yurt builder Matthew you will learn the skills and gain the experience you need to construct your own yurt of any size and style. Throughout the weekend you will learn traditional and modern styles of yurt construction taking you through 4000 years of yurt history. You do not need any pre-exisiting skills or experience to participate in this wonderful weekend workshop.

Introduction to Blacksmithing


Intensive three day workshop with professional Blacksmith and Farrier Terry, PhD and Doctor of Science in Archaeology, a master of vocational skills such as; Blacksmithing, coppersmithing, jewelry making, smelting and casting in addition to medieval armory techniques.

Durring the three days you will learn how to work with forges, move hot and cold steel, use the blacksmithing tools, how to bend, twist and shape steel, forge welding and the history of the craft. Durring the workshop you will make a minimum of three items which you can take home afterwards.

This is an intro course no previous experience necessary to participate and is suitable for individuals who have an interest in the traditional craft of blacksmithing.
